1.Any make of automobile, 1950 and up may be entered as long as the vehicle is not a pickup, truck, or jeep. No four wheel drives, NO Chrysler Imperials, NO ambulances or hearses will be allowed. No trucks, jeeps, convertibles, carryalls, and NO Imperial sub frame cars 2.All glass, chrome, name plates, pot metal, plastic, small grill prices, and anything else that might break off or fall off must be removed from car prior to entry on grounds. All Wagon decking must be removed. 3. Concrete, metal plate, wood, foam and pins in the frame will be considered added ballast and NOT allowed. (Exceptions will be stated below) 4. The stock gas tanks must be removed. A maximum 6 gallon gas tank must be located in the rear seat compartment and fastened and covered securely. 5. Batteries must be moved to front seat compartment and fastened securely (bungi cords are not fastened securely). Batteries and fuel cells must be covered with metal or rubber mat. No more than two automotive or marine batteries allowed. 6. Radiators and fans may be removed but not relocated. 7. Transmission coolers may be placed inside the car in the back seat area. Electric fans may be used. 8. Body mounts may be changed to 3/4 bolts or less. A 5” by 5” by ¼” plate may be used inside the car as a washer on the top side of the body mounts. There must be a minimum 1" space between body and frame for inspection. 5th body mounts are allowed. 9. Car trunk lids may be folded inside the trunk compartment. All trunks must have a 6 inch hole cut in the top (tucked or not). 10. Air conditioning condensing core may be placed in front of the radiator. No other reinforcement such as expanded metal may be used. 11. No tires larger than 15” allowed. A tire mounted inside of a tire is allowable. We our letting paddle tires run this year. (fornt or back) 12. WHEELS: No bead lock or screwed wheels. All wheels must be stock production. 13. Air cleaner must be left in place. 14. Firewalls must be intact, the only exception is a hole may be cut in firewall for distributor clearance. 15. Motor modifications are allowed but the car must be running on gasoline. . Example: A Ford motor in a Chevy is allowed. 16. Coil spring rear end cars can NOT be changed to a leaf spring rear end. No main leafs may be substituted for sub leafs. Except 80's and newer GM's and Fords. Up to 9 leafs 5/16" thick allowed 17. You may place slogans and/or advertising (no obscenities) anywhere on the car except on the front door. You must put the car number in large print on the front doors with the driver’s name above the number. We would like a roof sign with your # on top of car also. 18. All cars must have working brakes. 19. No paint or undercoating allowed on frames 20. No. 9 wire is allowed. 21. Trimming the body for tire clearance is allowed (a maximum of five 3/8 inch bolts per wheel well with a maximum one inch O.D. washer will be allowed. You may cut and weld rear fender wells also. 22. You can tilt 80’s and newer as long as there is no filler material used to weld back together. 23. No doubling body’s (will check if necessary).
24. On fresh car bumper heights: From the bottom of the bumper (front bumper maximum is 20", rear bumper minimum is 16")
25. Factory parts may be used but not welded to frame or body. Example: jack stands or stabilizer bar.
1.The hood must be securely bolted with a maximum of EIGHT hood bolts not to exceed one inch in diameter (must be able to open). The only bolts or all thread allowed to go through the frame are the two located at the radiator core support. All other bolts or all thread must be sheet metal to sheet metal only. Hood washers may not exceed 3/8 inch thick by 5 inch square. Two bolts or all thread (not to exceed 1 inch in diameter) are allowed in the trunk, allowed to go thru frame. Trunk may be chained around rear bumper but must not go around the frame or rear axle. Trunk and doors may be securely welded on the outside only. 2. Holes must be cut in hood, (a min. of (2) 6”by 6” each) 3. A safety bar may be welded or bolted behind driver’s seat. Bar may extend from door post to door post, but preferred to run diagonally from driver’s door to hump in floor board. A four point internal side cage (excludes dash bar, side bars, and bar behind seat) will be allowed. Side bars must not extend further than 18 inches behind rear edge of front door. Side bars cannot exceed 12 inch pipe. Do not connect to frame! YOU NEED TO HAVE A HALO BAR OR A BAR FROM THE REAR SAFETY BAR TO THE ROOF BUT NOT WELDED TO THE ROOF. 4. Driver’s door must have reinforcement brace on inside or outside of door. Driver’s door bar on the outside can cover driver’s side door but not to exceed past rear door. Foam may be place in driver’s door area to protect driver. 5. DO NOT install special bumpers, extra weights, trailer hitches, special lift kits, or any reinforcement except as set out in rules 6.A bar or chain must be welded in the windshield area to keep hood from coming into driver compartment. 7. Door seams, trunk lid seams, and wagon gate seams may be welded with 2” by 1/4 “strap or with ½” rebar (in line with the seam). Smaller material may be used. 8. One pipe not to exceed 3” diameter may be used in the place of the dash and a 5” by 5” by ¼” plate can be welded on each end of the pipe. 9. A maximum of (2) straps 2” by ¼” can be welded from front bumper to core support. A maximum of (2) straps 2” by ¼ can be welded from rear bumper to trunk lid. All straps on the front and back must be placed vertically. No this does not mean you can weld on the frame anywhere else except where stated. 10. Factory bumper mounts may be welded to the frame without using filler material. 11. Shock bumper mounts may be welded without using filler material. 12. Bumper swaps are allowed. Chevy to Ford, Chrysler to Chevy 13.Bumper skin may be cut and folded down and welded. 14. Factory motor mounts may be welded as long as it does not reinforce frame. Motor craddles are allowed. 15. Pre-run cars may patch a hole in the body of the car, but not replace the whole side of the car. If you patch a hole you must use sheet metal no greater than the sheet metal that makes up the original car body. This patch may overlap the outside of the hole 2”X 4” don’t push your luck. 16. You can weld ball joint stops. You can weld main leaf mounting brackets to prevent them from coming unbolted. You can weld coil springs at the base. (So they don’t fly out) 17.The steering column from steering wheel to gearbox may be altered. 18. Used cars may have 2 plates welded on both sides of frame NOT TOP AND BOTTOM. Plates can be 4” by 4” and ¼ inch thick. Maximum 8 plates per car. PLATES ON FRESH CARS WILL BE CUT OFF 19. No adding metal after inspection. 20. Seem welding on the frame is allowed from 12 inches behind the fire wall forward to front bumper. NO WELDING is allowed from 12 inches behind the fire wall to rear bumper 21. We are allowing a back window bar to trunk lid. DRIVER RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1.All drivers must be at 16 years of age. Each driver and pit person must sign a waiver and release of liability. 2. Entries will be accepted up to 45 minutes prior to start time. All cars must pass inspection 30 min. prior to start time. 3. Anyone in pit area without a pit pass will be asked to leave the pits. All personnel entering pits must sign a waiver of liability 4.Driver is responsible for his conduct and the conduct of his crew and all persons in the pit with his car number.
1.One driver door hit is a warning unless it is intentional. 2ND door hit and you are out. 2. If you are pushed into a driver door or are on the brakes and the door contact is a soft bump, you will be allowed to continue. 3. Anytime 2 wheels or more of the car is outside of the boundary the car is disqualified from heat. 4. Any car with gasoline spilling or leaking will be disqualified from heat. 5. Drivers must remain in their cars until the event director has declared the heat is over, except in the case of a fire. 6. When the calling goes out for each heat and final heat, driver is responsible for being on the track in 2 minutes or he will be disqualified. 7. Helmets with face shields or helmets with goggles must be worn at all times. Seat belts must be worn at all times. 8. Any drivers door that comes open will be disqualified. 9.Driver must make a hit within 1 minute 10.Cars catches on fire two times in one heat will be disqualified from heat. 11. If your car rolls over you will not be able to continue. 12. All cars must be on trailer for inspection.
